GCR affirms the Sanlam Alternative Income Fund’s Rating


We are pleased to announce that on 10 October 2016, Global Credit Ratings (GCR) affirmed the Sanlam Alternative Income Fund’s national scale fund rating of AA-(ZA)(f); with the outlook accorded as Stable.  Click here to view the fund rating announcement.

With the return of the fund comprising mostly of dividends and with its targeted constant price of R1 a unit, the fund remains an attractive tax efficient alternative to money market funds and cash investments. The average dividend portion of the fund’s return for the year ended September 2016 was 88%.

The fund was launched 9 years ago and has consistently outperformed its benchmark since inception.  The fund size at the end of September 2016 was R8.3bn.
